There can be a big difference between a boss and an effective leader. Many people have worked under managers that although might have had the knowledge to be in such a position, did not have the skills to lead an organization or department effectively. In 2015, STF launched its Leadership & Reputation Academy, an eight- to 12-part leadership development program aimed at new and emerging leaders in and around Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Each class is limited to 25 to 30 participants and sessions include lectures, group presentations and role-playing, and draw on materials from a variety of respected sources, including the Harvard Business Review, best-selling authors, successful corporate executives and STF’s own time-tested, proprietary content.

In addition to group classes in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, STF also offers a corporate Leadership & Reputation Academy option for organizations with 15 to 30 employees who could benefit from the leadership development program.

BENEFITS

Not only is the Leadership & Reputation Academy beneficial to participants, but it is also beneficial to participants’ companies and organizations as a whole.

Benefits to Participants

  • Development: Exposure to intensive, multi-tract development in executive coaching, leadership and reputation management, unavailable anywhere else in Oklahoma.
  • Problem-Solving: Preparation for challenges unique to leadership roles using quick thinking and real-life scenarios.
  • Connections: Provides a network of peers likely to face similar issues regarding leadership and reputation

Benefits to Companies or Organizations

  • Leadership: Prepares new, emerging and established leaders for their roles in your organization.
  • Talent Development: Sends the message that you value your employees by investing in their professional and leadership development.
  • Value: Fraction of the cost of retaining a firm or sending executives to out-of-state business school and leadership development programs.

Our next Academy will begin in August 2017. Tentative topics and dates have been determined for both Tulsa and Oklahoma City classes. This Fall, Schnake Turnbo Frank and Tri County Tech are partnering to offer a Bartlesville class.
