Chris Schein joined Schnake Turnbo Frank as an associate at in 2021 and has about 30 years’ experience. His experience includes almost 20 years at Oncor, the transmission and distribution company serving North and West Texas, and its predecessor companies. While there, he led the communications efforts to pass legislation for electric utility deregulation and, later, the multi-year transition to competition that included rebranding and launching three brands and companies, while emphasizing the holding company’s positioning for investors. Schein and his team led the company’s crisis and issue management communication efforts, responding successfully to a financial crisis, multiple lawsuits including a multi-billion-dollar class action filing, and multiple M&A activities.
While serving in his role at Oncor and its predecessor companies, Schein was interviewed by every major media outlet in the nation, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and CNBC. Additionally, Schein coached the executive team and key leaders for national and international media interviews.
Schein previously served as Manager for Southwest Region Media Relations for AT&T, where he coordinated the public and media relations efforts for the company in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Texas, including all legislative and marketing positioning. He has also served in various public affairs, government relations and journalism roles within several organizations including WorldCom, Inc., The American Red Cross and the Tulsa World newspaper.
Schein’s skillset and experience is focused in strategic counseling, organizational and departmental restructuring, social media analytics and integration, crisis management, legislative and regulatory communications, and talent development.

Traveling, especially with family, is at the top of the list. There’s nothing better than exploring – whether it’s dog sledding in Alaska, zip lining in Hawaii, snow mobiling through Yellowstone, or shark fishing in Florida – to create new memories. A close second is snow skiing in Colorado, Utah, or Wyoming’s Grand Targhee (a true hidden gem).
